Here is my

USPS customer feedback.

My mail carrier lost my package and all he offered me was a shrug and unapologetic apology.

I placed an order for an item that was scheduled for delivery on January 30th. I checked my tracking and it said it was delivered on January 26th. That was impossible because I did not receive a package on January 26th. I was positive because a package was not in my mailbox on that date or any other date afterward.

My second thought was maybe the fill in mail carrier had done something with it because she had been doing a horrible job with a bad attitude.

On January 30th when the mail carrier arrived to deliver mail, I asked him if he was working on January 30th. He said, "Yes!" I told him the story and he immediately became defensive. He then shrugged and asked me what was I expecting him to do. He began to say that he knew he put the package in my box. It was impossible. I told him, I think he delivered to the wrong person. He then said, "You think I took it!" Never once did I say or suggest that he did. During our conversation he had his phone in his hand. He was texting. I questioned that and then he said, I thought he was being rude. I told him, I did. It turns out he was trying to reach his supervisor. I explained that he needed to share what he was doing because it appeared that he was not trying to help me.

When he got the supervisor on the line she acted as if she was trying to help but it ended with her telling me there was nothing they could do because my package was not priority mail. I had sat on the phone with her for about 20 minutes. She could have told me she was not going to help me from the very beginning. She also seemed to try and place blame on the fill in mail carrier. I had to let her know that mail carrier had nothing to do with him losing the package.

She then said they would do everything to find it. How are they going to find a package that he said he delivered that was not in my box? She was just blowing smoke.

I could not believe the mail carrier was so defensive. He lost my package. I am the one that should be mad!

He has been my regular mail carrier and we have always had a good report but he was so rude the other day.

The first time we went we thought our nails looked descent. I got the gel manicure and my daughter decided to get acrylic nails. After the second day both of our nails began to break, the polish was chipping and looked dull. We do not use our hands enough for this to happen.

We informed Mimi and she had the guy that did my daughter's nails repair them. Normally, I would have spoken up, but my nails were so far gone and I could not believe she did not offer to repair my nails. I ended up paying to have them redone, only days after getting them done the first time. Mimi should have insisted on my nails being redone at no cost. Mind you one week had not passed and I was getting them done again.

After we left the same thing happened. This time, my daughter called and Mimi and Mimi told her to come back and they would repair the one broken nail. This is very inconvienent, considering we do not live close by.

The next week, my daughters nails looked a mess. We decided to schedule an appointment and get our nails done one last time. During this visit after getting our nails done, I told Mimi all that transpired and how I was dissatisfied with the customer service and our nails. She seemed a bit bothered, she did not offer to do our nails as a curtesy considering every time I came in they never tried to rectify the problem. My daughter and I wasted time and money coming here and Mimi offered nothing, not even an apology.

I am more than positive the polish does not last because I saw them dilute the polish when the bottle seemed empty.

After the last visit our nails lasted four days. This time we did get pedicures and they lasted two days, the polish began to chip. A pedicure will normally last one month.

Also, the staff at Color Nails, even Mimi are a bit standoffish. They really need to work on their people skills and customer service.

Jenny/Jenique, I am not sure how to pronounce her name has been threading our brows for most of the time and we have developed a relationship with her. She does great brows and seems fairly nice, but makes racist statements that are unacceptable.

She always questions why my daughter and I have curly hair considering we are African American. She has also asked, why is is straight when we slick it down. She has said that black people cannot grow there hair. WHAT???? She is silly. She has been in America for about 7 years, but she should know better. She is constantly putting her hands in our heads.

Not only does she question the texture and length of our hair, she will ask why does my daughter have long hair. My daughter does have long hair, but sometime she will add extensions. A couple of weeks ago, Jenny told my daughter your hair looks nice and then asked if she had extensions. She began running her hands through my daughters hair. I was mortified and pissed!!! My daughter was frozen. On this day she did have extensions. I then told her that was rude. How would she like it if someone is constantly questioning something about her heritage and make false statements about her race. No one wants someone touching them like they are so different from them.

She is so ignorant, she does not realize that my daughter has full head of hair and like many women no matter the race, she will occasionally were some tracks.

Although, she is good at threading she will never thread our brows again.
My daughter's charger on her iPhone stopped working and she needed a new one. Someone told her, I cannot remember who, that if you have an issue with your charger, Apple Store will replace it. Mind you she had just got the phone in July and there is a warranty.

When we arrived at the store, of course their was organized caous because of the new iPhone 6. An Apple employee with a tablet stood at the front of the store and asked us what did we need help with. We told her what we needed and she looked at us and said the chargers are on the wall to left. My daughter immediately told her, that she was there to have it replaced. The Apple employee looked at her and said, "No maam, you have to purchase it." My daughter then told her that she knew the charger could be replaced. The woman rolled her eyes, looked at her and handed her the tablet and said, we are booked today, but you can come back tomorrow during anyone of these times.

Never once did she acknowledge that my daughter was correct, she called my 20 year old maam. Really??? She never said, thank you or goodbye.

We returned the next day and everything went smoothly. The charger was replaced without any problem.
Last week my daughter was rear ended by an uninsured driver, who was driving the car of someone that has the car covered through Infinity Insurance.

On the day of the accident we began calling Myra at Infinity. She did not return our calls. When we called it was always, she is gone for the day or we left messages on her voice mail. After five days of us calling, our insurance company calling and the body shop calling I had enough, I called her. Mind you we were calling because, all we had was a claim number, a rental car and our car was dropped off at a body shop and we needed to speak with someone.

I was finally able to reach her. I called her extension and reached the voice mail again. I hit zero for the operator and guess who answers? Myra...So she's the receptionist also. I let her know that it was very unprofessional to not return any of our calls. She began to claim, that she called all five people on my end that had called her. That is not true, none of us had messages from her. Our plan on this day was to all call her until we reached her and it worked. She later began to say, I cannot hear you. Your phone is fading. The funny thing is she tried saying this to all of us. Did she really think we were dumb enough to believe she could not hear us. I know she did this, because after we each reached her, we compared our conversations.

Prior to calling her, my insurance told me what the limit was and so did the body shop. She tried telling me, that there were claim issues and I should just use my insurance. That was not going to happen. When I told her I knew the limit and the damages and rental were within that budget she tried telling me to not trust the body shop, that they did not give me an accurate quote that it could increase considerably. Little did she know, the body shop had told me that it would only increase by $200 and not more than that, I still had $2000 wiggle room.

After getting off of the phone with her, she called my daughter. My daughter says she spoke to her in a condscending tone questioning her age, as if to say I should not be calling. I am going to inquiry, it is my car that has been damaged.

Surprisingly she did call today. She told me the car will be repaired, but I will have to pay for the rental out of pocket and they reimburse me. Is she crazy??? There is enough to cover the rental. She was still saying that I needed to wait for an accurate quote and I should not know the limit for the claim. She questioned who told me. The quote I had was from an adjuster from Infinity. She was trying to say that it was not. The body shop told me it was. She then said she would see if I could be an exception and they cover the rental. She said the only way they would cover it, is if I had gone to the body shop she suggested. I told her she did not suggest a body shop, because it took five days to reach her. She tried saying she did not call back, because she knew they had claim issues. This girl has to be kidding!!! She should have called back either way. Once again, she was making up another story.

When I got off the phone with her I called the body shop. He said, he could not understand why she is playing so many games. She is acting as if this is coming out of her own pocket. I still have $2000 wiggle room they can cover the rental and then some.

Now, I waiting for her to call back to act as though, the rental cannot be covered.

Infinity is definitely not one of the best car insurance companies. I understand there are procedures when handling insurance claims, but this is unacceptable.
This is what I have experienced at Calabasas Auto Spa and Detail.

A lot of the cars that are being washed range from Bentley's, Range Rovers, BMW to Ford, Volkswagen etc. I have been coming to this car wash for close to 20 years and will not be returning anytime soon.

The customer service is hit or miss. Sometime, the manager is very friendly and others he is not. I recall in 2011 I purchased a non luxury car and when I was conversing with him, he stated that the car was not a new car. It was a new car, but it was not luxury. This man has the classic case of I think I am better, because I work here. I am willing to bet, at the end of the day he drives off in his old car to his low income neighborhood. On this particular day, one of the customers tipped him $100 and gave the other workers an amount I am not sure of and shortly after, that is when he made the statement to me about my old car. I thought, this guy is rude. Does he not realize, he is the one offering a services. I could have easily hurt his feelings. Mr. Car Wash Man.

I do not know how many times, I have taken my car in and they all act as if I am a new customer. They seem to only remember certain people.

Recently, I came in for a car wash and the manager insisted I pay for two washes, because he felt my car was too dirty. Mind you I am anal about keeping my car clean. Yes, it was dirty, but it had been one month since I had gotten the car washed. It was not that dirty. Mind we do not eat in the car and I do not park under trees, in dirt, etc. I told him, they needed to wash it once, in which that would be sufficient. He would not budge and told me to take my car somewhere else. This guy's head has been inflated or his head is really foggy. How dare you treat me like this. I am sure if I pulled up in a $200, 000 car I would not have received this sort of treatment.

I did ask to speak to the owner and I was given the run around. No one was willing to help. I left and then drove to another car wash and they did not have a problem with my car. They charged me for one wash and seemed to have done a better job than Calabasas Auto Spa and Detail. I do not know how many times I have to tell them, they have missed a spot. They do not always take pride in my car as they do the others.

I have looked at their yelp reviews. I am willing to bet the people that are writing the reviews are not real people or I guess it would be safe to assume, I know who the people are that write the positive things about this car wash.
Since the old location in Studio City left years ago, it had been years since we had Killer Shrimp.

Our dinning experience ended with us questioning if it was worth the drive. The food was just as we remembered it, DELICIOUS!!! Our waitress was lacking in personality and good customer service. We arrived at the beginning of happy hour. I do not drink, but decided maybe I will try something. I explained this to the waitress telling her I would need something sweet. She suggested a drink that tasted like straight, liquor. I asked that it be taken off, she seemed bothered. What was I supposed to do, I did not like it? Did she not remember she suggested the drink, it was way too strong.

After that, things seemed to go downhill. She had an attitude throughout the remainder of our meal. She barely acknowledged us, but was very personable with the surrounding tables. When it was time for her to give us our check, she seemed a little better. Did she think she was going to get a good tip? We had not eaten all of our food, so we needed to have her place our food in the to go cartons. She and a server took our bowls. I watched them pour our food into the cartons, but they did not keep track of which bowl belonged to each person at the table. The cartons were brought bag and just randomly given to us. I was so upset. She had such an attitude I did not bother to address it. I was going to call the next day.

I did make that call, each time I called the manager was in a meeting of some sort. I was asked my name, but not my number the times I called. After calling several times, I did not call back again.

It sucks when you have been craving something and then when you finally get it, either it does not taste the same or something just messes up your whole vibe and the experience is off.

Killer Shrimp has good food, but they need to train the waitresses in hospitality.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3845000860103031756.post-7011345926207907272014-08-22T10:43:00.001-07:002014-08-22T10:43:25.111-07:00ABC's Black-ish - Anthony Anderson Is One of The Rudest Celebrities -

Will I or will I not support Anthony Anderson's new show Black-Ish? The reason I ask this question is, when Anthony Anderson was on the show Guys With Kids, I was invited to sit in on a taping and round table with with two other bloggers, cast and crew.

What seemed like a good opportunity turned sour as soon as I asked Anthony a question. Initially Anthony was very friendly, a bit over the top, but I could tolerate it. I started off my question with a statement by saying, I know he is manly, but how is it take on a role as a stay at home dad, that some would call a feminine job or a woman's job. Mind you the show revolved around him and I think two other guys that took care of their children while their wives worked. I wanted to elaborate before Anthony began cussing me out. " F" bombs were flying everywhere. It was a full on attack of words. I could not believe this was happening. The cast and crew sat looking. Oh yes, the publicist that invited me did not say a word either. The producers did not say a word. Here I was a guest and was being treated horribly by this actor that seems to be having a rough time keeping a job. Ummm I wonder why? Finally, Tempestt Bledsoe, who played is wife on the show, stepped in and tried to simmer the situation by saying, he did not allow me the opportunity to ask my question or finish my statement. By this time I was near tears, but I was not going to allow him to get to me. When I have shared this story with others they all say he may have wanted me to argue with him. Trust me, I wanted to go off on him. But we all should have a high level of professionalism and class in which Anthony Anderson is lacking in both. Eventually, he began to act as though he was calming down. As the interview went on he would turn to one of the other bloggers and say I am going to ask the white girl, I like her and acted as if I was not there.

When the producers sat down for their interview, I could not ask any questions. I was just their. I had been humiliated, by this jerk of an actor/comedian. One of the producers did make a slight remark about how Anthony can joke a lot. No, this was not a joke. He was rude, nasty and arrogant.

Needless to say the show was cancelled. Now he is starring in the new ABC series Black-ish. I like the cast and would like to support this show, but since that day on set with Anthony, I have not watched anything he is in. Oh yeah it is not like he works a lot, but I did not watch the Soul Train Awards when he hosted them.

Let's see how long Anthony Anderson keeps this job. The show looks like it my be a show to watch. I am not sure if Anthony Anderson can pull of the role of a wealthy black man, with class. This is when he will have to show his acting ability, if he has any.

I began writing this less than an hour after I left Dr. Robert Perlmutter office. I am not the type of person that cries easy, but I left there in tears. I found myself calling my insurance to file a complaint.

When Dr. Perlmutter came into the room he seemed very nice. We introduced ourselves. He then asked me to tell him the purpose of my visit. As began to tell him everything and I told him that I have been anemic all of my life (one of the reasons I was there), he immediately began to tell me, it was impossible for me to have low iron all or most of my life. I was thinking that is odd, considering I have been told that by the doctors I have seen in the past. I guess I have just met the god of all doctors. He states, he should know, since he has been a doctor for 55 years. Ah ha!!! Yes, I have met the end all and be all of doctors.

He steps out and comes back in and begins to question my insurance although the office manager verified everything. We get past that and then it was like a different person had entered the room. Every time he would ask me a question, I would TRY to answer him, but he would then shoot my answers down or interrupt me. There was no way he was hearing me. He was being an absolute jerk. This continues and the steps out again. I am supposed to undress, only my top. When he returned, I found myself constantly smiling and trying to speak nicely. He continued to be rude. As he took my blood pressure, his tone was not very nice, as he spoke I felt spit on the side of my face.

After checking my blood pressure, looking down my throat and taking a few deep breaths, things worsened. He proceeded to ask questions and once again, everything I said was wrong. I found myself saying, "I am not trying to be combative." I maintained a soft tone, but this man began to talk loudly and asking me, "What do you want me to do?" I told him, the purpose of my visit was to find out what was wrong with me, but if he would not allow me answer his questions when asked, we would not get anywhere. By this time he calls in the nurse practitioner, she left the door slightly open. He continues to badger me at this point and she is just standing there. I guess that is all she could do. By this time I cannot take it. I ask that she closes the door, he is yelling and repeating himself. I had told him that weight gain was a concern for me as well. I am use to weighing 120 pounds and I have noticed a weight gain. I eat healthy and exercise daily. He swears he did not say this, but he called me overweight. I know what I heard, because it upset me. He asked me did I always have a little waist and big thighs. How could he tell what I looked like, considering I never stood up. I do not have big thighs. He started suggesting the weight gain was hereditary. No, everyone is small in my family. When I told him, that I have a low calorie diet and I exercise, he began to yell more and say that he does not think this is going to work. He does dot have time for this. Wow, he does not have time for this. I definitely do not. I was the one that drove there, waited and am now being insulted and mistreated in his office. At this point I am in tears, because I am realizing he is lacking in the area of professionalism and I do not want to stoop to his classless level. I never raised my voice, but the tears kept flowing. I was so made at myself, I never let anyone see me cry, especially if they are doing everything in their power to upset me. Like many rude people, he continued to yell after a while telling me weight is minor, since I have bigger fish to fry, bigger fish to fry...how can he make that statement when he does not know what is wrong with me? I tell him I just want to move forward. I came to his office hoping to find out what is wrong with me. He asked me to tell him my symptoms, but he would not allow me to do so without interrupting and telling me I did not know what I was talking about. For example, I told him, my entire back hurts, he kept telling me it was my abdomen, because I mentioned I previously had an ulcer. He claims I did the same, but that is not the case. I was merely trying to explain what I was feeling. I also told him, although we do not know each other it was clear to me that he did not like me. I had not done anything to him. Never once did he apologize, he walked out of the room. Oh, I wish I had told him what I really wanted to say to him, I should have pointed out his big urine stain on the front of his pants.

It is disappointing that the nurse just stood there in such a passive manner as this doctor disrespected me. When he left the room, I asked her was this unusual, she said it has happened a couple of times. I packed up my things. As I left, the receptionist and the child that belong to someone that worked there were looking at me. She asked for paperwork and then handed it back to me. Not one person in there asked me if I was okay. I was treated so poorly. I started writing this post yesterday, but had to stop, the pain in my back returned just as I left the doctors office. My entire upper back was inflamed. I had a headache and could not sleep. I found myself wide awake at 4:00 a.m. thinking about how I was treated.

UPDATE: 8/17 Blood was drawn during my visit. I have not heard from Dr. Perlmutter with my results. I am in the process of looking for a new PCP. Waiting to hear the results of my complaint.

Update 8/22 I did receive a call from the doctor he gave me my test results. He was supposed to refer me to a OB/GYN he did not mention it. He was little nicer, but straight to the point. I am still not feeling well. I need a doctor that will try an figure out what is wrong with me.

My community was recently taken over by Avalon Bay Communities and I am unhappy with the way they do business. The community used be owned by Archstone apartments. Archstone made me feel like I mattered. Avalon on the other hand do not care about the residents. All they want is for you to pay your rent.

My leasing office is so robotic it is rediculous. They are just glorified paper shufflers that stand in the office, show units and tell you it is out of my hand when something goes wrong. They are quick to direct you to the Avalon call center to speak to someone that is scripted and does not deal with anything on a case by case basis.

I recently moved from one unit to another. I was excited until the day I moved into my new unit. I had been in my old unit for 5 years and I left in great condition. I was told I was moving into an upgraded unit. I was coming from an upgraded unit. I was given the opportunity to see the new unit one day prior to my move in date. I was told that if there was anything I did not like it would be fixed. The day of the walk through, I was told that there was oxidation on the guest bathroom mirror. I told them that was not acceptable. When I did my walk through, I was upset. Yes, there was oxidation, a lot of it. I told the maintenance manger, Travis, this was not acceptable and he began to tell me, it would cost Avalon $300 to replace it and it was not in the budget. I did not need to hear about a budget. I needed this replaced I do pay to live here! Let's not leave out his arrogance when telling me.

Next, I noticed the unit was not fully upgraded. Mind you, what is considered an upgraded unit, is not an upgrade in today's time. Avalon Calabasas, surprisingly is one of the older style communities. These apartments are old and really need to be upgraded. The counter tops in the kitchen are slightly newer than the bathroom, the bathroom has the old counter tops. They glazed the master bathroom tub, but when you are in it, you feel lumps and scratches underneath. The dishwasher needs to be replaced. The sink kept dripping. The overhead part of the stove had to have been as old as this building. Travis was kind enough to replace that, (he balked about that). I was moving from an upgraded unit, so I knew what to look for. The bathrooms usually have extra cabinet space. These did not. I asked Travis to place cabinets in both bathrooms. He then told me he could only replace one, because they cost $30. Was he kidding me? I told him to put it in the master bath. The day I moved in, it was in the guest bathroom. I tried cramming everything in one space in the master and a couple of days later, there was a link under the sink and my things were ruined. I had maintenance switch it out. When I told Travis he made a mistake, he stood in my face and basically told me I was lying, He said, "I know what we agreed, where you not there?" Was this kid really talking to me like this. I must mention, he says this to me in the managers office. She was not in there when he said it, but I did inform her. It seems to me he just gets a slap on the wrist and she has to answer to him, because I did not have my mirror replaced with the oxidation. I have been told other units have it and we just have to deal with it. This definitely not what Avalon Calabasas displays on their site. they should post the real photos of their luxury apartments. Oh, Travis told me to put decals over the oxidation. As for the partially upgraded unit, he told me, he has a one bedroom apartment, here on the property, with the old wood inside and he pays more than I do. So, basically I guess I should be happy with what I have. I do not need to know any of the things he was telling me, he is lacking in professionalism. Now, my family all uses the master bath, because the guest bathroom grosses them out. Why am I paying to live somewhere I am not comfortable?

It does not end there. The day I moved into this unit I was sick, I had just gotten out of the hospital. A couple of days later I found out I was a victim of fraud. I had written a check for my deposit. I panicked and called the office, of course the on site accounting is not useful, I have to call customer service. I call and explain everything. I have never bounced a check in all of the years I have lived here. The representative explains to me that if I do a card payment I would have an additional $38 fee, a bounce check fee and something else. We then decided I would let the check bounce and then submit another check from another account. She said she would notate the account and ask that they not penalize me for this. Last week, I made a mistake on my account. I was short by $1 on my account and the payment was returned. I called Avalon the moment I recognized the error. They had not yet been informed and the representative told me to resubmit on line. I did and the check was processed a couple of days later. She did tell me that I may be penalized for 2 returned checks and would not be able to write checks for 6 months. I explained the circumstances regarding the first check, she said it was in the notes, but Avalon automatically does this even if it was something out of my control. This could not be so. A few days later, I received an email from Avalon stating that I could not submit payments in the form of a check. I have tried calling the corporate and local office and am unable to reach anyone. I left a message on the corporate line and no one has called me back. The local office no one answers, even when you hit zero for the receptionist. My concern is that I am not in a position to pay days before the rent is due with a cashiers check and I am not able to pay the additional $38 for processing my payment on the due date. I most certainly not go into the leasing office, because they will give the same speech that it is out of there control.

My account needs to be properly reviewed and I should be allowed to pay just as I always have done so. My mirror needs to be replaced. Can you believe they had the nerve to ask me write a positive yelp review. I did, write the review. I need to update it with this review. As a matter of fact I need to place this post on my other blog Free and For Me that has higher ranking.

The residents do not matter to Avalon Bay. They advertise this is as a luxury apartment building. I beg to differ.

I became extremely fed up when I moved and wanted to pay out my bill. The representative told me, to just do the address change, not pay, because there may be credits or a lesser bill. I did just that and my bill seemed to have doubled.

I called in to make arrangements at this point and try to make sense of what was going on with my account. I was given a minimum amount and I paid that. The representative said she was notating it on my account. A week later my service was disconnected. How could this be? I called and the notes did not reflect my notes or the agreed arrangement. Ironically, I was speaking to the representative that made the arrangements. This rep was a piece of work, not only did she not take proper notes, she did not have anything we discussed. It was like she told me one thing the first time we spoke, but typed in something else. I do not know what she could get out of doing this, but she did it and had a very bad attitude when I questioned her. I did not expect her to remember me, so I had I hard time disputing this. She kept saying, " am reading the notes and there is no way I would have made those arrangements." If I had known this would have happened I would not have agreed to make the payment arrangements. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was of no help, he was agreeing with the lying representative. I then asked for them to pull the recorded call. They basically told me I would have jump through hoops to get that done. That is if the call was even recorded. Why say the call is/may be recorded when you know it is not. This is why these representatives get away with so much.

I was so fed up, I have said goodbye to TWC. They have the worst customer service. They do not care about the customers. The reps are mean spirited, liars and do not want to do their job or make the customers feel like they matter. Please note there were other issues prior to this, I could not take it anymore.
I have switched to AT&T. There service is not the best, but they do have better customer service. I stopped eating there because over the years the experience is like a flip of the coin, you never know what you are going to get.

I think I have had it with them at this point. My family had not been there in a while and thought it would be nice to have Thai BBQ.

We could not wait to order some Thai iced tea. We placed our order with the waitress that seemed a bit short with us. After placing the order, she immediately brought it out. When we tasted the drinks they did not taste good. I could not drink mine, I told the waitress and her response was she had already made it. I thought, and...was she telling me I had to keep it because she had prepared it and I had to it drink either way. Yes, that is what she was suggesting. I insisted that she take it back and off of my bill. She went to the back and all I could hear was screaming and yelling. There were not many guest in the restaurant. Well, I can see why now. Are you kidding me? My daughter opted to keep her drink, but she did not drink it. Now, I was going to have to pay for a drink that no one was drinking. You would think she would have taken that off of the bill as well.

When the waitress returned she was so rude, she would not address me, she kept looking at my 19 year old daughter. Okay this heifer was getting out of line. I am the one paying this bill you may want to address me and not my child. This went on the two times she came back to the table to check on us. She was acting so rude I wonder if our food was safe to eat. We ate it, but with a lot of questions running through our mind.

This was the last time we ate at The Original Thai BBQ, Studio City and I am sure we will not return.
Last month I was invited to the Burbank Daphne's for a blogger event and received a gift card for attending. The event was great. My daughter and I gave the event and the food a great review on our food blog Food Generations.

Our perception of Daphne's began to slowly change when we finally decided to dine at the Woodland Hills location. Our first and second dining experience were fine. During the first visit we were asked to sign up for the pita points program they offer. We did so, without question and we did not ask what the benefits were. When we returned for our second visit. I was told I had a $5 credit or a discount. I did not think anything of it, because this is what the cashier was telling me. I paid for everything with my card and off we went. On the third visit the same thing happened, this time I was getting another $5 discount. Mind you I am just going along with what they are telling me. This time the cashier cannot issue the discount she has told me about after calling out the manager. He immediately starts telling me he cannot issue the discount although she told me I was receiving one, because I have a corporate, black card. I began to explain to him that this was issued as a gift card and I do not care about the points I just want to pay for my food. I did tell him that it is poor customer service to tell me one thing and then take it back. He then decided to issue the discount. I was so irritated with him. He then writes down my points card number and tells me he is calling his regional manager. Really.....On August 20th I returned again and the first cashier I had a few weeks back tells me the manager held a meeting or asked all of the staff who helped me and that I was trying to get over. Wow.....I am taken by surprise, because I was only dining in like any other customer. Today, I made the mistake of returning to the same Daphne's. This time my daughter and I place our order. The cashier asked for my phone number. I gave it to her. Then I gave her my black card again. She does not know how to complete the transaction. She asked two other workers they did not know. One of them goes to the back and they bring out the manager that has made a big deal about my dining in before. When he sees me he picks up the phone and says he is calling his regional manager. I asked him why. I tell him there is no need I just want to pay for my food and go. He then starts saying something about pita points. I told him I am not concerned with some points I just want to purchase my food. I got so frustrated and slammed my cup down, looked across the crowded room and call my daughters name to leave.

Within 10 minutes of leaving. I receive a call from an unrecognizable number. I did not answer, but a voicemail was left. I listened to it to find the regional manager leaving a message. This is unreal. Does the regional manager call all customers? What they need to recognize is I am a customer and they have no right to call me without me giving them my number. Have some tact. I returned the call and immediately he starts talking about pita points. I tell him the same thing I tell the manager. He began telling me at first he was on my side, but he has known this manager for 11 years and he agrees that I am combative, because of my tone with him. My tone was one of irritation, because I could not believe this man was calling me. What type of training did he receive. He even told a tall tale, stating that a customer called him and complained saying I was disruptive in the store. How is that possible when he was calling me in a matter of minutes and it would have taken time for a customer to obtain the phone number. If he did speak to someone, the manager handed them the phone and told them to speak with him, because he was calling him when I was in the store. Regardless, he should not have told me that. Does he call every customer that they have an issue with. He kept saying, you are one of us. He says he remembers me from the event. I vaguely remember meeting him. I was told he arrived towards the end. No, I was a guest at an event that blogged and shared how wonderful you were through social media. It was fine to treat me as a customer that could drive business to the franchise you work for, but now you want to treat me poorly. You have no right to call me or do anything else. Oh yes, let me not forget to mention while I talking to him, he would ask a question and if I did not answer yes or now, he would say, I do need to hear a story all I need is a yes or nor answer. Has this man lost his mind. I am not his child and he has no right to speak to me in that manner. I told him my feelings were hurt. He then tells me, your feeling can get you in trouble. We ended the conversation by me telling him I will not be supportive of Daphne's and will not be a customer.

I did not post this review on my other blog, because the feelings at the time are true. But today, I have different feelings. I know I should not allow matters like this affect my day, but I was truly affected by this.

Monster Jam was a great experience! My son was excited to attend this event, but I and my daughter were not too thrilled, but as we walked through the stadium parking lot the sound of the monster trucks was exciting. Once inside, seated and watching the show we were energized. This was really a thrill.

The crowd was on fire. Many cheers echoed through Angel Stadium for all of the drivers. Everyone seemed to have had their favorite. It was interesting to see trucks like Play'n for Keeps come out all geared up and then something happens, like the tire falling off. Play'n for Keeps was then towed away and then we heard the engine roar of Monster Mutt Dalmatian, what a cutie. She came out fierce and after ending her performance she went into the stands to great a fan, a little girl dressed like a Dalmatian.

Monster Mutt Dalmatian left the crowd ready for more, then trucks like Iron Outlaw came out fired up and immediately stalled, but tied with Monster Mutt Dalmatian. There was a hype for El Toro Loco, who came out starting strong, but then tipped over.

One of the memorable trucks for me was Titan, he came out by greeting the audience with a hand wave and then with 45 seconds on the clock, the truck turned over and then was fueled with fire. The crowd was cheering and I was frightened for the driver. As it turns out everything was fine. My two favorites were Grave Digger The Legend and Grave Digger. As the saying goes, save the best for last. These two were the last of the trucks to come out and the crowd was going crazy. When Grave Digger ended I found myself wanting more.

About a year ago I started purchasing MorningStar Farms. I was only buying it at health food/specialty stores and they do not allow you to redeem coupons. As a BzzAgent I received a free coupon and went to a major grocery store. I was happy to see the variety of burgers/patties MorningStar had to offer. I was surely missing out, there is wider selection in the larger super markets.

My daughter became a vegetarian over a year ago and she has been looking for a variety of things to eat, she has been purchasing MorningStar. Just like me she did not know there were other options, so you could imagine here reaction when she heard there were so many more options than we were aware of.

We had never tried the Chik'n patties, so I purchased them with my free coupon. When we sat down to eat, we were pleasantly surprised. My seven year old son, was asking could he take a sandwich to school for lunch the next day. This was a hit in my home. The patties had a nice flavor and were very light, they have 64% less fat. I did add some light condiments and these veggie patties were so good!

With trying to increase our vegetable intake MorningStar is a good choice to add to our diets.
Emmy Rossum's newest 'passion project', album Sentimental Journey has taken me on a Sentimental Journey. Often times, I have asked myself, "What happened to good, clean music?"

Like Rossum, I was not born during the era these classics were first created, but grew up in home that listened to this genre of music and I am now passing along to my children.

I was taken aback by the title track Sentimental Journey. I have associated Rossem with her character Fiona from the hit show Shameless, so upon listening to the first song I began to see she was really a multi-talented actress and singer. Then when I heard track six, Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out, I was sold. She could not have chosen a better song to put on her album, especially in todays time. The song choices for this CD were well selected, there is a song for everyone, young or old.

It refreshing to see such a young person singing classic pieces. She has an amazing voice and hope to hear more from her soon. She is definitely showing off her many talents.
Having healthy hair is important to me. With so many hair care products on the market it can sometimes be hard to find hair care products that work well for my hair. For years I had been using another brand that I had been pleased with. Recently I received Parnevu T-Tree Shampoo, Conditioner and T-Tree Growth Creme and was pleasantly surprised and am now using Parnevu instead of the other hair care line I was using before.

Finding a product that locks in moisture is essential for me for I have sandy brown hair that can look pretty dry when it is straightened (pressed/flat ironed) or when wet and worn naturally. Prior to trying Parnevu I have used T-Tree Oil for an itchy or dry scalp as a way to moisturize my hair. T-Tree oil offers many advantages for the hair like:

T-Tree oil naturally nourishes the hair and scalp

Locks in moisture

Stops itching

Prevents flaking

Removes unwanted build-up from hair left by other shampoos

Natural conditioning agents in the conditioner repair and protect,
leaving the hair softer, shinier, and manageable and tangle free

Strengthens hair

Stimulates growth

Prevents split ends

Stops breakage

Keeping this in mind I was eager to use Parnevu. The Parnevu line is not only appealing because it has T-Tree oil, but it smells good. Upon wetting my hair I applied a nickle size drop of shampoo on my hair and was surprised by how the shampoo lathered so quickly and with a small amount. After washing my hair a couple of times it was squicky clean. I then conditioned my hair and again the conditioner smelled just as good as the shampoo. The conditioner is not too thick although it is very creamy. Both of these products would be considered high quality hair care products. Knowing the benefits of T-Tree Oil I have been pleased with using Parnevu.

A few months ago I cut my hair and do not plan on growing it back for a while. But, my daughter is a nice length of hair and believes it is important to use products like T-Tree Herbal Growth Creme. After applying it to her hair she said, "We are swictching to this!" She applies it to her entire head when she wears it wet, when it is dry she uses it for her edges to lie them down or when she is wear her hair in a pony tail or just with a head band she then applies it through it. So far she is pleased with it.

Moisture and shine have meet in my hair. I am pleased with Parnevu T-Tree Oil and will continue to use the product.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3845000860103031756.post-18108553143057170952013-01-17T17:03:00.001-08:002013-01-17T17:13:59.933-08:00Hungry Girl & Fiber One Event Review-New Fiber One 80 Calories Chocolate Cereal

Starting off the New Year off right, Hungry Girl and Fiber One are at it again. Hungry Girl, Lisa Lillien and Fiber One are promoting the New Fiber One 80 calories chocolate cereal along with Lillien's books, Hungry Girl Recipes and Survival Strategies for Guilt-Free Eating in the Real World and Hungry Girl To The Max The Ultimate Guilt-Free Cook.

As many of us know, Hungry Girl uses Fiber One in many of her recipes. It will be interesting to see what recipes she creates with the New Fiber One 80 calories chocolate cereal. I have tried this cereal and I really like it. Upon tasting it I immediately thought; although, I am watching my weight, this will be good for my entire family. My seven year old is always asking me if what he is eating is healthy. I then thought of him, because he loves chocolate milk and I rarely give him the other chocolate cereals on the market. My 18 year old, daughter, who is always concerned with calories tells me she eats it as a dry snack. I on the other hand, would like to eat it both ways along with the many recipe options. During the event Lillien, when asked if she would be creating new recipes with this new Fiber One cereal she said, "Yes".

Being a fan, I have wondered, how she comes up with all of these recipes. Hungry Girl said she tries many of the recipes on her husband,a good taste tester who is not into dieting, if he likes it, it is good. I guess we should be thanking him as well for all of the many healthier options.

As a blogger, while attending this event I started out eating the the cereal and thumbing through the cookbooks, but when Lisa Lillien spoke to us I felt strongly about the paths I am taking as a blogger and as a woman that is now facing a slower metabolism. She is a real woman with many of the same issues and concerns most women have. I believe it is one of the secrets of her success. Hungry Girl believes in being real and having a brand with great integrity.

Listening to her speak of how she started out with an idea and telling her husband to give her six months and promising she would not drain their bank account. Who would have thought an idea, an email and having her eye on the ball would put her in the position she is in today. What an inspiration. She says, everything happened so quickly after sending out her first email, she knew she was on to something. And, yes she was, on to something. With many projects Lillien still hands on with all aspects of her business.

I left this event on a high. Thank you Hungry Girl and Fiber One for breakfast and inspiration.

If you have not tried the New Fiber One 80 calories Chocolate Cereal or read of any of Hungry Girl's Cookbooks you are missing out.

As most of you may know, I wash a lot of clothes. I have had the opportunity to review Woolzies Dryer Balls . I have heard of people using dryer but did not quit understand why.

When I received the package all I could do was stare at the balls. I kept thinking what am I supposed to do. I washed a load of clothes and through one ball into the dryer. When my clothes came out of the dryer I thought I felt a difference, I was not quit sure. I should have read the directions or watched the above video. I was supposed to use all six balls. After using all six balls I could definitely feel and see a difference in my clothes. They were soft. My clothes are drying faster, but I have not been consistent in taking them out of the dryer when they are dry. I am still waiting for the dryer to stop and then I take them out. Like many people I like to save money, so I am making an effort to check the dryer more often. The other mistake I have made was using my regular fabric softener in my wash load. I have found that using that and Woolzies causes static. I have used the fabric softener out of habit. I know you can add different scents to the Woolzies Dryer Balls, I have not done so, because I have not found a scent that smells like the fabric softener or dryer softeners that I like. My clothes do not have the strong scent when they come out of the dryer I am relying on my deteregent for that fresh smell. I am sure I will find something soon.

Overall, Woolzies Dry Balls do dry my clothes faster and softens them as well.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3845000860103031756.post-83683295155612437252013-01-12T13:54:00.000-08:002013-01-12T14:04:28.669-08:00The Bic 4-Color Pen Review

Participating in Bic 4-Color Pen campaign through Smiley360, has brought back so many memories for me. I can remember as a child wanting a 4 color pen. My mom who is now a pen collector always used the best pens and back then the 4 color pen was one of them. When I was able to finally use one or get my own I thought it was the greatest thing.

The Bic 4-Color Pen is still convenient and fun. As a mother of a seven year old this is perfect for writing notes to his school, especially when I want to write notes to his teacher in his Friday folder or weekly assignment sheet. I can easily pick a different color for my notes to stand out, without having to search for a different color pen each time.

I received two pens and have given the other to my 18 year old daughter, who is college. She always needs different color pens. Giving her the Bic 4-Color Pen is a perfect, small gift for the start of the new semester.

Like I was when I was a child, my son is asking for his own 4 color pen. I have not given him one yet, but I understand his fascination with this pen and desires of wanting one.

There are many uses for this pen, but this is how I am using my Bic 4-Color Pen at the moment.
Attending a launch party and scavenger hunt was fun! I attended the exclusive Hollywood scavenger hunt and launch party for The House at The End of Street. I am so glad I decided to go. I almost did not go, because when I saw the word, "haunted" I was afraid to go. I had it all wrong. The scavenger hunt was not scarey at all. I was paired with a great partner and blogger, Jamie Gall of Minnesota Girl Transplanted in LA. We had a nice time on the scavenger hunt and towards the end realized we put too much thought into our efforts to win. We did not win, but we enjoyed ourselves.

The second part of the scavenger hunt led us to the Geisha House in Hollywood for the launch party for The House at The End of The Street. The director, Mark Tonderai
was in attendance and gave us insight about the film and showed video of how the film was made. I had wanted to see this film before attending this event, but after watching scences from the movie, his interaction with the actors and listening to all of their views about the film I could not wait to get home and watch the film. The House At The End of The Street is a film you want to see or add to your movie collection.

I have been wanting to purchase 20 Mule Team Borax for a while and had not done so. As a Purex Insider I was chosen to reveiw 20 Mule Team Borax.

I heard so many great things about Borax for a while. Prior to this opportunity I had gone on review sites and read many great reviews. Who would have thought, I would now being reviewing this product.

20 Mule Team Borax is 100% natural mineral from the earth. Once it is removed from the ground it is washed, dried and boxed for consumers.

Borax naturally softens hard water, which protects your detergent so it can maximize cleaning power.

These are the things that attracted me to 20 Mule Borax, I have used it on on a couple of wash loads and have found that my families clothes do feel soft and stains are being removed. As instructed I added 1/2 a cup of 20 Mule Team Borax to every load, along with my regular Purex detergent. I have noticed that with my seven year old, sons clothes the stains are easy to get out while applying both Borax and Purex to the stain if they are hard stains. I am sure I can just use Borax alone to remove the stains. I do not worry about the smaller stains and just wash the clothes and they seem to be coming out as well. So far I am having a good experience with 20 Mule Team Borax, this is definitey good laundry booster.

I noticed on the box it says I can use it for house cleaning. I am always cleaning, so I plan on trying it in my bathrooms and kitchen as well.

Borax provided a free sample of their product so I could review them. However, this review is all of my opinions and personal experiences.
He absolutely loves it. He knows it is for sleepovers or when we are going on a trip, but he wants to put his legos and books along with his clothing as well. I think the best thing about this duffle bag is that it is personalized.

Posy Lane has a wide selection of items ranging from bag back packs to personalized kids sleeping bags .

The bag we received is very nice. The material is not too light or too thick. It seems to be very durable and is just the right size. My son likes to take care of his things and does not like getting things too dirty. If his bag gets dirty I can wash it as well. Now when we are are on the run with a get away or sleep over, he just grab his duffle bag.
