Strictly Sail Long Beach Review

We had a great time at the Strictly Long Beach Sail Event. My son was so excited, he could not change into his swim clothes fast enough.  But, once he was changed he was ready to kayak, ride Pinky and try out all of the other water activites.

I believe the most exciting portion of the day for the families was when the kids had the opportunity to take a cruise around Rainbow Harbor in “Pinky,” the honorary sailboat – a West Wight Potter – inspired by Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure”

I was pleased to hear that Pinky was up for purchase and would benifit the Susan G. Koman foundation.   When Pinky is sold another one would be built.

There were at least 60 ocean liners for sale.  Although, we did not purchase anything it was nice to look at all of the boats.  I have been on different boats, but this was an experience we truly enjoyed.  My son is still talking about it and is looking forward to trying all of the water activities he participated in this past weekend.

Although, we have experienced sailing; this event reminded us of why we like the sea and should get out more often.
